JLL continues the strategic expansion of its national Retail Brokerage services with the hiring of experts Thomas Jackman and Andy Corno in Washington, D.C. Jackman and Corno join the firm as Vice Presidents with more than 20 years of combined experience. The two will work in concert with and complement JLL’s Mid-Atlantic tenant representation experts Greg Ferrante and Arris Noble, who have served the market’s retail needs for nearly a decade, and recently added retail investment sales expert Bill Moylan.

“Washington D.C.’s retail market is becoming increasingly active, attracting retailers and investors alike. We’ve seen a surge in luxury retailers and restaurants entering the market, and the city is positioned to remain strong for the next 24 months,” said Mike Ellis, Mid-Atlantic Market Director, JLL. “While JLL has served the Mid-Atlantic market’s retail needs for nearly a decade, we are now strongly positioned to support our clients growing leasing and representation requirements in Metro D.C. with Thomas and Andy onboard.”

Jackman and Corno are the latest major retail hires for JLL in the U.S. following the addition of top retail brokerage talent in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Texas. JLL has been actively recruiting top retail brokerage talent across the nation, and has added 50 new retail brokers to its national team in the past eight months. The firm is already the largest third-party retail property manager in the United States.

“We’ve been looking for the right cultural and business fit to solidify our Metro D.C. market presence, a crucial piece of JLL’s national expansion of retail brokerage capabilities. With the addition of Thomas and Andy we now have a strong foothold in the market,” said Naveen Jaggi, President of Retail Brokerage, JLL. “These gentlemen bring with them a deep understanding of both investor and retailer leading needs, and advance our local, national and global brokerage capabilities.”

Jackman joins JLL from Lincoln Property Company, where he helped to expand its Retail Services Group since 2009 in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. He brings with him a decade of agency leasing experience in urban, mixed use, grocery anchored and ground up developments for institutional owners, local owners and developers. In addition, he specializes in coordinating tenant representation services through the acquisition, disposition, and relocation of national, regional and local tenants. Prior to Lincoln Property Company, Jackman worked for CBRE’s Retail Services Group in the market. A local Washingtonian, Thomas graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Corno, a Washington D.C. native, joins JLL with more than a decade of retail experience. Prior to joining JLL, Andy was part of the Retail Services Group at CBRE, where he led the Urban Retail Practice in downtown Los Angeles. Prior to joining CBRE, he handled leasing for Abbey Company, Washington REIT, and worked in corporate services for CRESA. Andy has facilitated hundreds of transactions spanning all aspects of commercial real estate, but his roots lie in retail. Corno’s career started in 2004 as a restaurant franchisee and operator. Corno graduated from Georgetown University, and received his MBA from UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business.
